In the air, the shift is everything.

It is the micro-second of transition where an artist redefines gravity. It is the furious, invisible effort required to make the impossible look effortless. We shift to find comfort when the world feels unfamiliar; we shift to carve out sanctuary where none existed before.

Shift Studios is born of that becoming.

I named this space to honor the constant evolution of our lives… mine included—from the rigid discipline of the U.S. Army to the corporate world, then into work as a full time photographer and stripper before moving into the fluid defiance of the aerial arts. This space is a sanctuary for the multi-hyphenate artist- the aerialist, painter, DJ, crochet queen, and everything between-, built on the belief that growth only happens in the transition.

We are not shifting away from our roots.

We do not seek to be palatable or "for everyone." We are shifting into an unapologetic honoring of the culture that built us—one 8-inch pleaser step at a time. We are a veteran-owned, Black-owned, female & queer owned stake in the ground, shifting the landscape of San Antonio toward a future where beauty and art are a right, not a luxury.

The constant is change. The art is the shift.
